She was born January 8, 1938 in Appleton to Dale and Dolly (Kauffarnus) Prink. She attended Appleton schools, graduating from high school with the class of 1956. On September 12, 1964 she married Wayne Bogan in DesMoines, Iowa. The couple lived in Milwaukee for most of their married life before retiring to Lakewood in 1991.
Dorothy had worked for the Oconto County Commission On Aging since living in the area. At one time she was an avid bowler and took special interest in school activities while her children were attending. She also enjoyed music, knitting, sewing, making quilts for her grandchildren and just being with people.
Survivors are her husband, Wayne Bogan, Oconto Fails; one stepson, Patrick (Peggy) Bogan, Wausau, Kelli (Craig) Thompson, Mi!waukee; Karen (Daniel) Siebenlist, Atlanta, GA; Walter Phalen (Amy) Bogan, Milwaukee; Amy Sorenson and fiance, William Newcomb, Atlanta GA; nine grandchildren; one brother, William (Judy) Prink, Appleton; two sisters, Sharcn (Donaid) Buxton, Little Chute; Glgi Balthazor, Appleton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mary Wendt and son-in-law, Jeffrey Sorenson.
There was no visitation. Memorial services with the urn present were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2001 at the Chapel In Highland Memorial Park, Appleton with Henry Grosek officiating. Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls assisted the Bogan family.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
