Delores Corrine Scoles (Matthews), Midland, MI, went peacefully and sweetly into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Friday, March 2, 2001. She was born February 3, 1950, in Elgin, IL, daughter of Harold Vernon and Ruth (Corrine) Benninger Matthews. Delores graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1968, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1979 with a BA in business and earned her MBA in 1982 from Indiana University. She began her employment with the Dow Corning Corporation in 1982 as a systems analyst and was presently working there as an accountant.

On December 19, 1992, she married Wesley G. Scoles in Midland. She was a member of Grace Bible Church since 1992 and had volunteered for many years at Crisis Pregnancy Services. In 1994, she earned her State Certification in teaching from Saginaw Valley State University and took a leave of absence from the Dow Corning Corporation from 1995 to 1997 to teach computers and physical education at Midland Christian School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, which were the light of her life.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Wesley, are her sons, Michael J. Spice Jr. and his wife Joanna, Seattle, WA; Tim Spice and his wife, Martha, Green Bay, WI; stepson, Brian Scoles and his wife, Cheryl, Midland; stepdaughter, Kimberly Scoles, Boston, MA; grandchildren, Zachary Spice, Cameron Spice; parents, Harold and Ruth Matthews, Abrams, WI; brothers, Robert (Barb Phelps) Matthews, Kewaunee, WI; Danny (Betsy) Matthews, New Castle, IN-, John (Margie) Matthews, Brookfield, WI; sister, Dawn (Fred) Wittig, Hoe Island, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
