Darlene Marie Kazalukas, 58, Oconto, died September 2, 1999 at her home. Darlene was born July 31, 1941 in Menominnie, MI to Frederick and Delores (Albert Majkrzak) Phelps. She married Anthony "Tony" Kazalukas August 23, 1958. He preceded her in death on January 4, 1996. Darlene loved knitting and crocheting dolls and gifts and shared them with all her family. Darlene was a member of the Holy Trinity Parish. Darlene is survived by two daughters, Theresa (Brian) Slayton, Oconto; Tina (Clint) Kazalukas-Neshek, Abrams; three sons, Jeff (Kim) Monroe; Steve (Lauri), Green Bay; Kevin, Green Bay; two brothers, Donald (Bev) Phelps, Menominnie, MI, Walter (Wendy) Majkrzak Jr., Stephenson, MI; two sisters, Rose (Gary) Klatt, Stephenson, MI; Delores (Ken) Marklein, Ingalls, MI; thirteen grandchildren and great friend Helen Stratton. Darlene was preceded in death by one son Michael Kazalukas; two brothers, Richard Majkrzak, Richard Phelps; two sisters, Mary "Pumpkin" Beaudo, Geraldine Davis, and step-father Walter Majkrzak Sr. The family greeted relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto where a prayer service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at Holy Trinity Parish Peter Site, with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating and burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
