Bubb, Dorothy M.

Dorothy M. Bubb, 90, Oconto Falls, died Saturday evening, January 4, 2014 at the Woodlands of Gillett. She was born December 6, 1923 in Oconto Falls to Albert and Hattie (Sell) Montie and grew up in the area.

On December 14, 1940 she married Jerome Bubb in Marinette. Dorothy lived in rural Oconto Falls for most of her life where she enjoyed tending her large flower and vegetable gardens. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors are two children, Betsy Kroening, Gillett; Jerome (Joyce) Bubb Jr., Suring; 11 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Peter Winkler, La Crosse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerome in 1998, a daughter, Joan Winkler, infant daughter, Diane Lee, two grandchildren, two sisters, Adeline Coopman and Verna Ratz, and two brothers, Carl and George Montie.

Visitation will be held after 10am Friday, January 10, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday at the church with Pastor Larry Bong officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls. Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls is serving the Bubb family.
