, Donna K. Classon, 72, Green Bay, formerly of Kelly Lake died Wednesday morning, April 14, 1999, at home. She was born June 13, 1926, in Cecil to Norman and Leona K. (Kregel) Kurtz. She attended Oconto Falls Public School, graduating from high school with the class of 1943. Following graduation, she attended UW-Madison. On December 26, 1946 she married Stephen J. Classon in Oconto Falls. The couple lived in various parts of the country before retiring back home to Kelly Lake in 1984. While living in the area she volunteered at Community Memorial Hospital and was active in Kelly Lake Sportsman Club. Donna dearly loved here family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors are her mother, Leona K. Kurtz, Oconto Falls; two sons and daughter-in-laws Stephen J. and Karen L. Classon, David N. and Judy S. Classon, all of Green Bay; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bob Beyer, Appleton; six grandchildren, Stephen G. Classon II, Gretchen (Richard) Goldman, Jennifer Classon, David Classon, Kiana (Troy Storfjell) Weinschenk, Katie (Hendrick) Stubbe; one great-grandson, Nathaniel "Spike" Goldman.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen G. Classon, on March 14, 1994, her father Norman Kurtz on March 31, 1960, her brother Jack Kurtz, on Feb. 12. 1955 and very special cousin, James L. Tomlin on July 13, 1997.

There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 1999, at the Hickory United Methodist Church, Hwy. M. in Hickory Corners with the Rev. Scott Crandall officiating. Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls is serving the Classon family.
