Doris Larson, 71, 8732 Hwy 41, Oconto, passed away unexpectedly June 21, 2000 at Bay Area Medical Center.

Doris was born June 22, 1928 at Oconto to the late Adolph and Frances (Faust) Janssen. She married Malcolm Larson on November 3, 1951. The couple operated a dairy farm all their lives in the Town of Little River. Malcolm preceded her in death on February 22, 1998. Doris was a cook at Holy Trinity School for 23 years. She was Town Treasurer for the Town of Little River and was a proof reader for the Oconto County Reporter. She enjoyed her Bridge Club and Sewing Club and was a member of the Catholic Knights and Holy Trinity Parish.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Mike) Wos of Oconto; three sons, Thomas (Beth) Larson of Lena, Gerald (Debbie) Larson of Oconto and Roger (Marlene) Larson of Menominee, MI; one sister, Elaine (Earl) Theabo of Red Granite; one sister-in-law, Celia Janssen of Rothschild; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Lawrence and Clayton.

Visitation was held at the Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Friday with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Joseph Site, with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
