Donald J. Larmay Obituary

 

Donald “Chief” J. Larmay, 79, Lena passed away to eternal life January 25, 2012. Donald was born to the late Louis and Catherine (Hearley) Larmay October 19, 1932 in Abrams. He married the former Madeline Reindl July 28, 1956. They enjoyed 39 years of marriage. Madeline preceded Donald in death December 10, 1995. Donald was a farmer for most of his life and also worked for Peters Concrete, Biehl Construction, Hydrotex, Patz Company and Gunville Trucking. He retired from Green Bay Cheese. Donald served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are 7 children, Sandy Glass, Porterfield; Karen (Don) Shehow, Peshtigo; Bryan Larmay, Oconto; Sharon Risso, Oconto; Diane Larmay, Lena; Dawn (Todd) Kafka, Oconto Falls; MaLinda (Steve) Bogdanski, Pound; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Joyce (Bob) Ristow, Oconto; his second wife Frances Golden, DePere and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ervin, Lloyd and Harold Larmay. Pallbearers will include: Jason Shehow, Bret Gleason, Quincy Giese, Billy Hugo, Kerry Larmay, Craig Larmay, Jerry Larmay and Steven Carroll. Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 438 W. Main St., Lena Friday, January 27th from 4 until 8 P.M. Wake Services 7 P.M. Visitation will continue Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Lena from 10 A.M. until the time of Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. with Father Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Military Rites will be given at the church by the Lena American Legion of which Donald was a member. Placed to rest at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
