Donald James BRIDGER

Donald James Bridger, 72, 57 11 Nutmeg Ave. Sarasota, FL, died October 10, 1999 in Sarasota where he lived for the past 20 years. He was bom June 10, 1927 to Raymond and Evelyn (Shallow) Bridger in the Town of Little River, Oconto County, Wisconsin. Donald served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1947, spending most of his time in Kodiak, AK in the postal service. He married Agnes Konitzer on August 13, 1949 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls, They lived in Milwaukee where Donald was employed for 30 years before retiring from American Motors. They moved to Sarasota in August of 1979 where both he and Agnes became very involved with helping older people in need of personal assistance and transportation.

Survivors include his wife Agnes, Sarasota; four sons, Daniel (Mary) Bridger, Kearns, UT, Rus- sell Bridger, Brooklyn Center, NM; Charles (Lynn) Bxidger, Milwaukee, WI and Gene (Sherry) Bridger, North Port, FL; two daughters, Cynthia Boyd and special friend David Jones, Sarasota, and Karin Bridger, Venice, FL; two brothers, Clyde (Arlene) Bridger, Oconto, WI and James Bridger, Marathon, FL; five sisters, Muriel Bridger, Eagan, MN; Lorraine Bridger, Oconto, Ilene Albright, Eagan, MN; Patricia Wedde, San Jose, CA; and Shirley Ratzmann, New Berlin, WI. He is further survived by eight grand-children, three step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Maynard, Leo, Robert and Gene; and by three sisters Lois (George) Biron, Las Vegas, NV, Carol (Robert) Cotter, Angelica, WI and Jane Bxidger.

Services were held for Donald James Bridger at Incarnation Catholic Church in Sarasota on October 14, 1999. Memorial donations may be made to the Senior Friendship Center, 1888 Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota, FL, 34236 or the Incarnation Catholic Church at 2929 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, FL 34239.
