Dr. Harry Weed, formerly of this city, died at his son’s home at Rhinelander, Tuesday, October 10th at 3:30 am, after a brief illness of three days. He and his wife were on their way to the Century of Progress, and stopped at his son’s home for over night, when he suffered a stroke.

He was buried at Coldwater, Michigan on Thursday, October 12th in the family lot.

Dr. Weed was born in Michigan and came to Oconto Falls after being located in Oshkosh for several years. The family lived here about eleven years, then moving to northern Wisconsin, at present their home being at Watersmeet, Mich.

While living in Oconto Falls, he was very active in church and Sunday school work, and all civic affairs. In Watersmeet, he was school physician, City Health Officer and Railroad Surgeon, besides taking care of his general practice.

Beside the many friends in Oconto Falls and northern cities in which he had practiced, who esteemed him very highly, he leaves his wife, Emma Weed and two sons. Dr. Linton Weed of Rhinelander and Alvin Weed of Iron Mountain, Michigan, to survive him. People of this community join in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
