David was born on Feb. 2, 1936, in Milwaukee. He was the son of the late Ralph and Anita Hale Klatt. In 1959, he moved to California. where he met and married Alice Hibbard on Dec. 1, 1962, in Riverside, Calif. He enjoyed spending time with his boys at the beach, at a picnic, or on a bicycle ride with his wife and sons. Yet, he was never very far from an ice cream shop. More recently, Gramps could be seen attending sporting events for his grandchildren.

David will be remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Alice, of 51 years; three sons, Jeffrey (Dawn) Klatt, De Pere; John (Sarah) Klatt, Shawano; Paul (Carilee) Klatt, Oshkosh; eight grandchildren, Krysta and Alyssa Klatt, Christopher (fiancée, Sarah) and Aaron Klatt, Andrew, Ryan, Kirsten and Ethan Klatt; a sister, Mary (Harold) Sunderland, Santa Rosa, Calif.
