Diana was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on March 27, 1937, and the daughter of Edward and Celia (Homel) Holsen. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc and married Leander "Andy" Endries. Together they raised their family, and when the kids were grown, she went on to obtain a nursing degree from Lakeshore Technical College in 1979. She worked as a LPN for many senior living homes in the Manitowoc area. She and Andy the moved to Townsend where she made many new friends and remained active in many organizations including Saint Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Lakewood, Lakewood Altar Society, Church Choir, Lioness Club, Lakewood Homemaker Club, and White Lake Mentoring Group. She was also a Sandhill Crane Counter, and she enjoyed Bridge, bird watching and music.
Diana is survived by her husband, Leander "Andy", of Townsend; Three children, Lynn Endries-Rosenbauer, of Whitelaw, WI; Vickie (Jeff) Krause, of Waupaca, WI; Eric Endries, Captain-US Army, of Stevens Point, WI; her mother, Celia Hosen; one sister and one brother, Doreen (Steve) Strouf, of Manitowoc, WI; Daniel (Dorothy Holsen of Manitowoc, WI; numerous other relatives and friends. Her father, Edward preceded her in death, in 1973.
Father Gerald Schmidt and Deacon Harold Orlowski celebrated the Mass of the Christian Burial at Saint Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Lakewood at 11a.m., on Wednesday, April 19, 2000. Friends called upon the family at the church from 9a.m., until the time of services. A private internment was held. Suminski Funeral Home of Wabeno served the family.
