Since retirement, he enjoyed gardening and raising pumpkins which he sold on his property on Hwy. 41 next to the Farmhouse Restaurant. He was a member of the Lena United Methodist Church and a member of the Ohio Yearly Meeting of Friends. He was a charter member of the Lena Lions Club. He also had membership in the Holstein Friesan Association of America.
Survivors are his wife, Elda Doudna, Lena; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Dan Strebig, Cadott; Kris and Tony LeFebre, Abrams; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Lynn Doudna, Abrams; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls from 4
until 9 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2000. Visitation will continue at the
Lena United Methodist Church after 2 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2000 until
the time of services. Funeral 4 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev.
Jodi Arpke-Lone officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund, will be established.
