Dale worked for 38 years at Green Bay Correctional Institute. He served the Denmark Volunteer Fire Department for 40 years and was the Assistant Chief and Captain for the last 27 years. Survivors include his wife, Marian; a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and William Born of Sheboygan Falls; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Molly Haltaufdarhaide of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Riley and Lucas Haltaufdorheide, Brandon and Brianna Born; two brothers, one sister, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Harold 'Bud' Haltaufderheide, Oconto; Ann and Bernard Arveson, Denmark; Gary and Karen Haltaufderheide, Sun Prairie; Eva Haltaufderheide, Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Randy. Visitation was held Knutson/Cotter Funeral Home in Denmark from 4:00-8@00 p.m. Sunday. There was no visitation Monday. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark with Msgr. Robert Gulig officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
