Zahn, Delbert
Delbert G. Zahn, age 60 of Suring, was called home to his Lord after a short
illness on April 28, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born
on October 1, 1955 to the late Delbert "Kaiser" H. and MaryAnn (Anker) Zahn
in Oconto Falls. He was a longtime employee of Nu-Line Industries of Suring;
upon their closure, he received his CNA license and worked at Woodland
Village Nursing Home Suring and Sharpe Care Nursing Home in Oconto Falls.
Delbert was very active in the church as a Sunday School teacher and
superintendent, custodian, Vacation Bible School teacher, and a member of
the alter guild. He was a 4-H leader for many years.
Delbert is survived by his mother, MaryAnn Zahn; his brother, Mark (Theresa)
Zahn; his niece Danielle Zahn; his nephew Jonathon (fiancé Margot Groh)
Zahn. He is furthered survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and
friends.
Delbert was preceded in death by his father, Delbert H. Zahn on June 5,
2004.
Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Monday,
May 2, 2016 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Visitation continues on Tuesday at Mount
Olive Lutheran Church in Suring from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am
with Pastor Michael Paholke officiating. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is
