Delores M. Delzer, 65, of 6612 Fireside Road, Lena, died Saturday evening at her home after a brief illness.
Delores was born on May 27, 1933 in the Town of Morgan to the late Rudolph and Lillian (Gohr) Gaertig. On June 16, 1951, Delores was united in marriage to Otto A. Delzer at St. John's Lutheran Church in Morgan. Delores was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Morgan, for all of her life where she taught Sunday School for many years. Delores enjoyed baking and playing card games of all kinds with her family. Delores had a strong faith in the Lord; it was this faith she passed on and taught to her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Delores will be sadly missed by her husband of 47 years, Otto A. Delzer, Lena; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Gisi Delzer of Lena, Roger and Bobbi Delzer of Oconto Falls, and Richard and Heidi Delzer of Lena; one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and John Wolf of Oconto Falls; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Nass of Gillett; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arlyn and Beverly Gaertig of Oconto Falls and Bill and Marie Gaertig of Menomonee Falls; several nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her infant daughter, a brother Otto Gaertig, and a sister, Beatrice Schlorf.
Visitation was held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, April 26, and at St. John's Luther- an Church in Morgan after 10 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of Services. Funeral was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Paul Heykes officiating. Burial in the Town of Morgan Cemetery.
