Donna Leanne "Betty" Barry THOMAS

Donna Leanne "Betty" Thomas, 67, of Lakewood, WI formerly of Green Bay, died Tuesday, December 21, 1990, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay.

Donna was born December 5, 1932, in Green Bay, the daughter of Allan and Antoinette (Trump) Barry. She lived most of her life in Green Bay. She attended Green Bay West High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1950. On May 2,1953, she married Warren Thomas. In 1977 they moved to Lakewood to start a new business and together they built their dream. While living in Lakewood, Donna was very involved in her community. She was a member of the Library Board of Directors, Charter member of the Lioness Club, and a newly elected member of the Lions Club. She also was very active in her church and the events that were held there as she begins her new life, the memories she left us will live on forever.

Survivors include her husband, Warren; sons, Brian (Cindy) Thomas, Green Bay, WI, Barry (Patty) Thomas, Mountain, WI; eight grandchildren, two great- grandchildren. Donna is further survived by her other 'child' at home, "Chance" her black lab, numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Leanne, Timmy, and Tommy and two brothers, James and Jerry Barry.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 23, 1999, from 3-7 p.m. at St. Mary of The Lakes Catholic Church, Lakewood, Mass of Christian Burial followed at 7 with Father Jerry Schmidt officiating. Final resting place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Suminski Funeral Home of Wabeno was given the privilege of serving the family.

Memorials appreciated to the family, who will donate them to a cancer society in Donna's honor. She always had a warm smile for everyone, and loved her family more than life itself. We are sad to see her leave our lives, but are also happy for her new journey with God. Our thoughts will always be with her as she watches over everyone she loved. We will sadly miss you and we will always love you as you did all of us.
