Catherine Brazeau, 53, of Oconto, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Green Bay. Catherine was born June 28, 1958 in France to Dimitri and Emily (Petruchat) Zubko. Catherine moved to America at the age of three. She married John Brazeau on July 29, 1978. Catherine worked as a beautician at Luther Home, Marinette, running three different salons within the home, for thirty three years. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing jokes with her clients. Catherine enjoyed reading, and her favorite holiday was Christmas. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, and the St. Anne’s Society. Catherine is survived by her husband John Brazeau, Oconto; father Dimitri Zubko, Coleman; two sons Nick Brazeau, Milwaukee; Zach Brazeau, CA. She also survived by four sisters and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her mother Emily Zubko, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Bonnie and Clem Brazeau. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM Saturday, February 18, 2012. A memorial Mass will be Celebrated 11 AM Saturday at the church with the Rev. Joel Sember officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
