Charles Werth passed away at his home on Washington Street last Friday, (Aug. 2, 1912), after a three months' illness with dropsy of the heart.
Deceased was born in Rothenklempenow, Pommern, Germany, February 25, 1856, and in 1882 was united in marriage to Helen Ziehm at the same place after which they came to Oconto and have since resided here.
Mr. Werth is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Gordon, Jr., and two sons, Charles and William, all of Oconto. Deceased also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Rhode of Oconto, Mrs. Henry Schlorf of Morgan and Minnie and Ernestine Werth in Germany, and three brothers, William, of Oconto and Otto and Ernest in Germany to mourn his loss. The floral offerings were many and beautiful which testified to the high esteem in which the deceased was held.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement.
