CHARLES BENKEY DIES

Charles William Benkey, resident of this place for the past 50 years, passed away at his home after a lingering illness, at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 19 days

Mr. Benkey was born in Bremen Germany. He has been postmaster of this place for 35 years and the last few years he also conducted a grocery store. His wife preceded him in death nine months ago.

He is survived by four sons and one daughter: Charles Benkey of Milwaukee, Theodore and Rutherford and John and Alice Martin of Sandusky, Ohio.

There are also six grandchildren, Gladys, Mildred and Marion Benkey of Milwaukee, Patsy, Robert and Billie Martin of Sandusky.

Funeral arrangements have not been arranged as yet.
