Cora L. Anderson, 76, Gillett, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 1, 2004, at her home. Cora was born Oct. 12, 1927, in the Town of Bear Creek (Waupaca County) to the late Carl and Rosetta (Winter) Witzke. On Apr. 16, 1949 Cora married Ralph Anderson in Clintonville. He preceded her in death Feb. 24, 2002.

Cora taught school at Leiskau School, Birnamwood, and at Washington Elementary School, Oconto Falls. Later, she was employed as a waitress at the Village Lantern in Cecil. Cora was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Shawano, the WELCA and Naomi Circle. Cora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Cora is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie and Douglas Framness, Marshfield, and their children Lars, Siri, and Chris; her son, Gary, Green Valley; four sisters and three brothers-in-law Evelyn and M.M. “Hunky” Bodoh, Clintonville; Charlotte and Albert Jr, Hass, Manawa; Renata Buchholz, Clintonville; and Carol and Ervin Brede, Cecil.

Cora was also preceded in death by her son Roger on Sept. 7, 1979; and two sisters, Arlene Witzke and Jeanette Haven.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1254 S. Lincoln Ave., Shawano. Funeral services 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the church, with Pastor Peter L. Sherven officiating. Interment in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Green Valley. Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, 920-855-2144, is assisting Cora’s family with arrangements.

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date. Cora’s family would like to thank her four sisters, and Loretta Szpek and Barbara Dominiak for all their love and support given her during the past two and a half years. Thank you to the staff at Heartland Home Health and Hospice for their devoted care during Cora’s illness.
