PAPER MILL OFFICIAL AT FALLS 
SUCCUMBS 

OCONTO FALLS, Wis.- Cornelius Van Hammond, 61, superintendent of the sulphite millat the Falls Paper mill, died in a Green Bay hospital at 7:30 Thursday evening. He had a cardiac ailment and entered the hospital Wednesday. Mr. Van Hammond was born at Little Chute Dec. 1, 1889. He had been in Oconto Falls for about 14 years, and previously was employed by the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Kimberly. He was married to the former Edna May Wall (Wahl) here in 1938. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion and also was a member of the Holy Name Society.

Survivors includes his wife; two brothers, Jake and William, Kimberly, and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Vander Velden, Kimberly, and Mrs. John A. Evers, Little Chute. The body is at the John Crooks Funeral home, Oconto Falls, and friends may call after Saturday morning. Rites will be held there at 8:30 Monday morning and in St. Anthony Catholic church at 9 o'clock. The Rev. Joseph Labno will be celebrant of the requiem high mass, and burial will be in Oconto Catholic cemetery.
