He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto, and the Knights of Columbus. Corby enjoyed caring for the birds and squirrels. He raced stock cars for over 20 years and was track champion many times over. Corby enjoyed making people laugh and was loved by all. He also loved playing cards.
Surviving are his loving wife of nearly 34 years, Marcie; their children, Bob (Sue) VanLorynen, Ger-many; Sherron (Joe) Mahn, Milwaukee; Joe (Louise) VanLorynen, Dover, Florida; Debbie and Linda VanLorynen, Phoenix, Arizona; Gerald Gibeault, Oconto; Dawn Gibeault, Green Bay; Jim Gibeault, New Orleans; Jack (Jolene) Gibeault, Oshkosh; Jeff Gibeault and Blaine Huebner, DePere; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marge Kato, Gillett; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Park Avenue at Madison Street, Oconto, from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005. Combined St. Anne Society and Knights of Columbus Rosary 4:30 p.m. Vigil service 7 p.m. Visitation continued from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2005 at the Church. Liturgy of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. David Ruby presiding. Entombment at Allouez Catholic Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum.
Jones-Modrow-Young American Legion Post #74 of Oconto conducted military rites. Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Michael Gibeault, Mickie O'Connor, Robin Luedeman, Nick Baer, Justin Gibeault and Megan Gibeault.
