Charles Stank, 92, of W10192 W. Hwy 64, Pound, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 10, 1999 at his home. He was the son of Mike and Frieda Stank, born on Aug. 24, 1906 in the town of Pound. He helped to build and run the Golden West Tavern and then farmed in the Pound area until retiring. He married the former Wanda Malecki in 1936.

Survivors include five sons, Virgil (Carol) of Milwaukee, Donald (Ann), Lawrence "Toby" (Linda), Peter (Kathy), and David (Toni), all of Pound; seven daughters, Mrs. Ray (Margie) Will and Mrs. Duane (Francis) Giese of Pound, Mrs. Lance (Marie) Rosenthal of Menominee Falls, Mrs. Mike (Delta) Zach of Milwaukee, Mrs. Douglas (Joann) Koral of Wauwatosa, Mrs. Charlie (Alice) Ellenbeeker of Germantown, and Mrs. Mike (Lois) Negro of Neenah. 43 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one brother, Oscar Stank.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; one daughter, Sally Ann; his parents; one sister, Sylvina Rost, and five brothers, Ed, Paul, August, Sylvester and Otto.

Private family services were held Friday Feb. 12, at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman. Rev. John Hephner officiating with interment in St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Pound.
