Carol was born Dec. 22, 1941, in Oconto, the daughter of the late George and Agnes (Feifarek) Reed. She had lived in Alpha since 1966. She married Jerome J. Fischer on March 17, 1993, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by: her husband, Jerome Fischer; four children, Jackie Gilligan of Suring, Jodi (Charles) Smet, Julie (Scott Thomson) Gilligan, Jay (Robin) Gilligan, all of Kelly Lake; five stepchildren, Debbie (Dick) Skalitzky, John Fischer, Shirley (Gerald) Pecore, Todd (Roxanne) Fischer, Tommy (Sharon) Fischer, all of Shawano; 15 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Robert (Shirley) Reed of Green Bay, Sandy Rasmussen of Oconto, Mary (special friend, Nick Hugo) Paye of Abrams. She was preceded in death by one grandson.
Family memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 16, at 1:30 p.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Timothy Lamkin officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Gresham.
