Clara E. Hallam, 85, died Sunday, September 19, 1999 at a Green Bay hospital. She was born July 16, 1914 in the town of Bellevue, daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline Nooyen. The family moved to the town of Howard around 1920 where she grew up and then married Donald L. Hallam on October 26, 1933. Donald preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1991. The couple had farmed in the town of Howard and then in the black Creek area until they retired to their rural Seymour home.
Clara survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Don and Rosie, Green Bay; Dick and Geraldine, Seymour; George and Linda, Weyauwega; Bill, Seymour ; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Cecilia and Wayne Conrad, Manitowoc; Kay and Dave LaCount, Sobieski; Carolyn, Seymour; Nancy, Seymour; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special godson and his wife, Harold and Jeannie D'Arc Noe, Quebec, and their family; a sister, Leona Noe; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Steward and Hettie Nooyen; and a brother-in-law, Dean Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her parents, four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek with Father Paul Paider officiating. Burial in Elm Lawn Cemetery, town of Lessor. Friends may call at the church Wednesday after 10:00 a.m.
A Memorial fund has been established. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is serving the family.
