Charles M. Olson 79, died last night at his home in the town of Gillett following an illness of three years.

He was born October 8, 1871 in Norway and came to the United States in 1888 settling in the town of Gillett on a farm. He returned to Norway in 1903 to marry Clara Olson after which they returned to the town of Gillett to operate a farm.

Mr. Olson was a member of the Bethal Lutheran Church, Green Valley and was a member of the town board for two years.

Surviving are his wife, six children; Mayme (William) Specht of Krakow, Ethel (John) Bohm of Two Rivers; Henry at the home farm; Vernon of Gillett; Edwin of the town of Gillett and Kenneth of Mountain.

Three children died previously. Other survivors are 11 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren, and two brothers, Sam and Ole Peterson of the town of Gillett and Oconto, respectively. Rites are to be at 2p.m. on Thursday or Friday at the Bethal Lutheran Church. The services are contingent on the arrival of son Kenneth from Montana. Rev. A. Parnell Nelson will officiate.

Friends called at Kuehl Funeral Home at Gillett from Wednesday noon until noon the day of services. They may also call at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 on the day of service.
