Baldwin, Colette "Dia" M.
Colette "Dia" M. Baldwin, 53, Oconto Falls, died peacefully Saturday,
December 22, 2012 surrounded by her family, following a three year illness
with multiple myeloma which she so valiantly fought. She was born April 28,
1959 in Toledo, OH to Harold and Georgeann (Stein) Baldwin. She grew up in
Toledo before moving to Oconto Falls as a junior in high school, graduating
from Oconto Falls High with the class of 1977. Following graduation from
high school, Dia moved to Long Island, NY before returning to the Oconto
Falls area in the mid 1980's where she managed Bett's Home Video.
Dia lived most of her adult life in Oconto County where she once owned and
operated Wolf Runner Motel and Video Store in Mountain as well as Done Rite
Demolition. She was an avid movie buff, especially Disney movies. Dia shared
her enthusiasm with her family and friends even having sleep overs while
being so very sick. Christmas was her favorite time of year, she loved to
see her nieces and nephews open their presents and to bake special cookies
and candies to share with them because they thought of her as "Super Aunt".
Dia also enjoyed knitting, putting together large jigsaw puzzles and playing
the lottery regularly. She was a very active member of St. John's Riverside
Lutheran Church in the Town of Oconto Falls where she cared for the church
property both inside and out. Last but not least, Dia was an animal lover,
especially of dogs and Siamese cats.
