She was born March 28, 1916 in Maple Valley to the late Peter and Martha (Arveson) Mikkelson. Carol married Chester Arveson June 1, 1935. She was a lifelong member of Maple Valley Community Church. Carol greatly enjoyed her church, family and home.
Survivors include her daughter and family, Sally (Bob) Hunt of Gillett; one son, Roger Arveson of Green Bay; one brother, Dale (Teddy) Mikkelson of Gillett; brother-in-law, Clyde Spaulding of Abrams; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, March 21, 1985; infant son, Kenneth; her brother, Ervin Mikkelson, and her sister, Ellen Spaulding.
Visitation was held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring. Funeral service was held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Maple Valley Community Church with Pastor Kevin Kuhn officiating. Burial in Hickory Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in memory of Carol.
