Mrs. Christine Hazen passed away at the age of 80 last Saturday at 6 a.m. at her home, 521 Brazeau avenue, after an illness of only a few days. The body was returned to the residence from the Gagnon-Sheffield funeral home Saturday afternoon.

The funeral service was conducted Monday morning at 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic church. Rev. J.J. Looze celebrated the solemn requiem high mass; Rev. Bryon Belongia as deacon and Rev. Leon Prcybylski as sub deacon.

Burial was in the Oconto Catholic cemetery. The pallbearers were Louis Amore, Charles LeMay, Peter Pecotte, Charles Trudeau, Joseph Sedmihradsky and Silas Brien.

Deceased was born Christine Leannais, May 3, 1862 at Bay Settlement, living in Oconto since her marriage. Her husband preceded her in death, passing away Nov. 21, 1930. She was a member of St. Ann's society of St. Peter's church.

Survivors include her daughters Marie, at home, Sister Mary Pauline, Peoria; Mrs. Willard LaCombe, Oconomowoc; three sons, Lewis, Green Bay; Paul, Kenosha; and Anthony, at home; one sister, Mrs. Mary Coutley, Milwaukee, and four grandchildren.

Out of town people at the funeral included Sr. Mary Pauline, and Sr. Louis Bartrand, Peoria, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hazen, Green Bay; Paul Hazen and son, Ronald, of Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Willard LaCombe, Oconomowoc; Mrs. Mary Coutley, Milwaukee; Mrs. Jane Casey, Kaukauna; Mrs. Ann Bunker, Green Bay; Mrs. Peter Bast, and daughters, Stephenson, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. David Williams and son, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. John Heroux, Peshtigo, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Ferdon, Green Bay.
