He was born March 18, 1908 in Pound to the late Fred and Minnie Kostreva. Chester was married to the former Josephine Sabaj on July 2, 1932 in Chicago, IL. He was in business with his brother, Edward in Chicago for 31 years known as C&E Auto Repair. He retired in 1972 and lived in rural Coleman. His wife preceded him in death on July 22, 1978.
He is survived by three daugh- ters, Lorraine (Robert) Murrock of Coleman, Arlene (Richard) Potem- pa of Park Ridge, IL and Joanne Lang of Streamwood, IL; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandehildren; four sisters, Irene Reed of Chicago, IL; Alma Grumbeck of Wheeling, IL; Naomi Connick of Coleman, and Violet Marcantonio of Coleman; a sister-in-law, Helen Kostreva of Pound; one brother, Alfred (Mollie) Kostreva of Coleman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred. Kostreva; four sisters, Ella Kostreva, Angeline Lempke, Emily Losch, Lillian Lombard; and two brothers, Elmer and Edward Kostreva.
Friends called at Rhodes- Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman where a prayer service was held. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 16, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Dennis Reinhold officiating with interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, Town of Spruce
