Mrs. Roland (Carol) Klipstine, 77, 1593 Grant St., De Pere, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, June 9, 1999, at a local hospital. The daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel (Tate) Drews was born July 24, 1921, in the Town of Chase. She married Roland E. Klipstine on May 10, 1939. He preceded her in death July 20, 1977. Carol had worked at Thomson Meat Co. in De Pere for more than 22 years. Mrs. Klipstine was an active member of First Congregational Church in De Pere, where she was a proud member of the choir. She was an avid bowler and most especially enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Crivitz. Survivors include one daughter, Bev and Larry Larsen; onegranddaughter, Cheryl and Todd LeSage; one great-grandson, Nicholas LeSage, all of Green Bay; her special friend, Ray VandeVelden; three sisters, Naomi and Norb Ama, Green Bay, Fay and Harold Klipstine, Pound, Delores and Pete Vogels, De Pere; one brother, Russel and Esther Drews, Red Banks. She was preceded in death by her husband. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St., De Pere, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Visitation will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church, corner of 10th and Cedar streets, De Pere. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Greg Watling officiating.
