Mrs. Flynn was one of the organizers of the Oconto Historical Society and it was largely through her efforts the society acquired the Beyer Home as a museum. In September her 90th birthday was celebrated at a party in the museum with more than 100 friends present.
In 1948 she married William Flynn and lived at Neopit where he was purchasing agent for the Indian Mills. When he retired they moved to Oconto where he died in 1961.
Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. C.N. (Kay O'Kelliher) Hoffecker, St. Petersburgh Beach, Florida; Mrs. Shull (Pat O'Kelliher) Irwin, Washington, D.C.; one nephew, John Layton Bryce, Wauwatosa; two step-daughters, Mrs. Art Birner, Antigo; Mrs. John Rehrauer, Waupon; five step-sons, Jack Flynn, Menominee, Mich.; William and Joseph, both of Superior; Eugene, Decatur, Ill; Jim, Green Bay; three sons preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 10 am Monday, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oconto, the Rev. Norbert Vande Loo officiating, with burial in the Catholic cemetery. MacQueen Funeral Home was in charge.
