. . Died on
Thursday evening in the Oconto hospital, where he had gone an hour after
suffering a heart attack. He was born Feb. 18,1989 in Maple Valley, Oconto
County, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Christ Sorensen, and came to the City
of Oconto as a child. He worked for the Holt Lumber Co. until it ceased
operation and then worked for the Holt Hardwood Co., retiring eight years
ago because of ill health. He married Agnes Iverson, July 1, 1922. He was
a member of the Oconto Odd Fellows.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters,
Kathy, at home, and Mrs. Pete Martinez, Alamo, Texas; two grandchildren,
a niece, Mrs. Art Petri, and a nephew, Howard Sorensen, both of Chicago;
two brothers, Soren and Harry preceded him in death.
Friends may call at MacQueen-Sheffild
Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Saturday and until noon Sunday. Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Methodist Church, with Rev. John Wagner
in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
