Clarence J. Luisier, 93, Lena, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at The Meadowlands of Oconto Falls.

He was born to the late Emil and Rose (Shimeck) Luisier May 9, 1908 in Lena. Clarence married the former Josephine Kust in 1938 at the former St. Wenceslaus Cath-olic Church, Klondike. Josephine preceded Clarence in death in 1998. Clarence farmed in the Lena area all of his life and worked the winters in the woods as a young man. He also worked as a cheese maker in various cheese factories in the Lena area. He was Treasurer for the Town of Stiles for many years as well.

Clarence was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena and was very involved with helping out the various community organizations. Surviving are his son, Neil Luisier, Lena; and two grandchildren, Kelly Luisier, Lena and Craig Luisier, Lena. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Clarence was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena, Friday June 8. A parish vigil service was held. The Funeral Mass was held Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena at 11 a.m. with Father Harold Beerntsen officiating. Interment at St. Charles Cath-olic Cemetery, Lena.
