AGED FARMER DIES MONDAY MORNING

Carl Jahnke, 82, died at his home in the town of Pensaukee Monday morning, May 9, following a few days illness with bronchial pneumonia.

Mr. Jahnke was a native of Germany, where he was born March 3, 1845. He came to America in 1883, settling in Stiles, where he was employed by the Anson Eldred Company for many years. Thirty-two years ago he moved to Pensaukee, where he engaged in farming. His wife died nine years ago.

He leaves to mourn his death two daughters, Mrs. Charles Ziesmer, Pensaukee: and Mrs. C. F. Meyer, Oconto Falls, and one son, John Jahnke, at home. a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the home, Rev. H. Eisenback of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was made in the Brookside cemetery. The pallbearers were Mr Jahnke's six grandsons, Otto, Carl and Herbert Zeismer, George, Edward and Emmett Meyer.
