The son of the late Charles and Anna Jergens Semrau was born September 24, 1915 in the Town of Pound. He operated a farm in the town of Pound and also worked in the woods. Carl was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Coleman.
Surviving are three children, Carl Jr. Nola Semrau of Pound, Marvin Semrau of Indiana and Marilyn Pat Peterson Lasse of Janesville; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Donna Semrau of Pound and Arnold Semrau of the Landmark, Peshtigo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerhart and Wallace; one sister, Hazel Liptak; and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Coleman from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of funeral services at 3 p.m. Rev. Gregory Stahlecker will officiate with burial in Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Pound. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman assisting the family with arrangements.
