Clarence was born January 22, 1913 in the town of Little River to the late Joseph and Sidonia (Hurion) LaCourt. He married Vida Hyland (Couillard) on June 30, 1949. She proceeded him in death on January 17, 1996. Clarence worked for the Scott Paper Mill for 28 years, retiring in 1976. Clarence served in the US Army during WWII in the 585th Quarter Master.
Clarence is survived by one daughter, JoAnn LaCourt, Oconto; one son, Wayne (Mary) LaCourt, DePere; two step-daughters Mary Lous Lackey, Madison Linda (Ron) Carey, Oconto; two stepsons Dalton (Janet) Hyland, Sheboygan; Ron (Marily) Hyland, Green Bay; two sisters Margaret (Camille) Bero, Menominee, MI; Elizabeth Allen, Algoma; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Alice Jensen, five brothers and two sisters.
The family received relatives and friends, at the First Presbyterian Church, oconto, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, January 26. Funeral services were conducted 12 noon Saturday at the church with the Rev. Thomas Beck officiating. Burial at the Evergreen Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral home, Oconto, assisted the family.
