He was born to the late John and Emma (Thone) Miller April 17, 1915 in the Town of Spruce. He married the former Violet Klein April 18, 1942 in Cato, WI. The couple lived in the Manitowoc area for three years where their first daughter was born. They then moved to the Town of Spruce and farmed until Clarence began working at Kohler in Kohler, WI until his retirement in 1967. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Town of Spruce. He enjoyed raccoon hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Violet; three daughters, Joann (Wayne) Kostka, Sheboygan; Judy (Robert) Giesler, Coleman; Bonnie (Steve) Wetzel, Gillett; one son, John (Linda) Miller, Sheboygan; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (Elsward) Guseck, Pound; and one brother, Gordon (Mildred) Miller Sheboygan.
Clarence was preceded in death by three brothers. Friends called at the Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Lena, Thursday, January 13, 2000 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ryan Landwehr officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Spruce.
