Clara H. Andersen Block, 92, Gillett, went to the arms of her Risen Savior on Easter Sunday, April 23, 2000, at the Gillett Nursing Home. She was born March 21, 1908, in the Town of Maple Valley, to the late Hans and Anna Hansen Andersen. On November 10, 1928, Clara married Adolph G. Block at St. John Lutheran Church, Pulcifer. He preceded her in death November 18, 1999. She was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, and the WELCA.

Clara is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Joyous, Kimberly; Richard and Eva, Gillett; Elroy and Joan, Bonduel; Roger and Beverly, Milwaukee; 17 gandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister-in-law, Gladys Johnsen, Gillett; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Block; two grandsons, Richard and Aaron Block; one granddaughter, Maureen Block; three sisters, Mabel and Sophia Andersen, Bertha Bert Phillips, and one brother, Einer Johnsen. Friends called at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, Friday April 28, 2000 after 9:30 a.m. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Dennis N. Nelson officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
