Barbara Topel
died Monday at Eastview Manor. She was 102 years old.
Born Dec. 4, 1883 in Kewaunee County, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sinkler (Husband's obituary gives her maiden name as Barbara Sinclair Young). She married William "Dick" Topel in 1926. He preceded her in death in 1950.
The couple operated the Long Lake Bar in Kempster for many years. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the McCandless-Zobel and Bradley Funeral Home. Rev. Gene Krueger will officiate. Burial will be in Kempster Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and Friday morning until the hour of services.
Note: William was
known as Uncle Dick to his nieces. Dick, according to family, owned and
operated a tavern in Antigo, WI.
