Beverly M. Zahn, 73, Suring, died at Woodlands in Gillett on March 1, 2002. She was born in Laona March 19, 1928 to the late John and Olga (Martin) Walters. Beverly Walters married LeRoy R. Zahn on June 19, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church in Gillett. Beverly retired as a grocery clerk after many years of work in the area. She enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, sewing and camping. Beverly was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Suring.

Survivors include her two daughters and their families: Carol (Daniel) Krieser of Oconto Falls, Julie (Lynn) Steffeck of Suring; one son and his family, Randal (Karen) Zahn of Gillett; four sisters-in-law Jeanne Zahn, Ruth Zahn, Ella Nelson, Emma Oestreich all of Suring; two brothers-in-law Delbert (Maryann) Zahn of Suring, Arnold Martin of Oconto Falls; seven grandchildren Zachary, Miranda, Caleb, Rachel, Jake, Kaitlynn and Liza; also many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband LeRoy on April 14, 2001; her sister, Erma Martin; sister-in-law, Leone (Paul) McMillion; four brothers-in-law Urban Oestreich, William Nelson, Melvin and Emmett Zahn; also a grandson, Matthew.

Visitation was held on Sunday at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring. Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Suring with Pastor Michael Paholke officiating. Burial in Mt. Olive Lutheran Cemetery.
