Bonita "Bonnie" Brazeau, 87, Oconto, passed away peacefully, Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, surrounded by her family. She was born on Feb. 9, 1917, in Oconto, to the late Patrick and Beatrice (Werth) Marineau.

On June 13, 1940, Bonnie married Clement E. Brazeau in Oconto. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1977. She worked at Pel-Bar Nursing Home, Oconto Falls and Oconto Memorial Hospital, Oconto. She was a past president of St. Anne's Society, a member of the Oconto County Historical Society and volunteered for the hospital auxiliary, Respite Care and Meals-on-Wheels. Bonnie had a great love of family, sewing, travel, Machickanee Players, church socials, gardening, crafts and the piano.

Survivors include ten children, Wilfred P. "Wil/Pat" (Mlllie), Grafton; Clement A. "Tony" (Charlotte), Harrisonburg, Va.; Peter (Barbara "Bonnie"), Hanover Park, Ill.; Mary (Jim) Windey, Green Bay; James "Jim" (Marcia), Oconto; Elizabeth "Betsy" Edens, Green Bay; John (Katie), Oconto; Richard "Rick" (Carol), Escanaba, Mich.; Paul (Mary "Lisa"), Sun Prairie; Theresa (Mike) Chesney, Green Bay; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Patsy (Paul) Johnson, Marquette, Mich.; one niece, three nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Cal Edens; three sisters, Edna Marineau, Vivian Marineau and Germaine (Walter) Kuntz; two grandchildren, Jaime and Samantha Brazeau.

Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto. St. Anne's Rosary Service 4:30 p.m. Parish Wake Service 7 p.m. Visitation continued from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Parish. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2005 at the church with Father David C. Ruby officiating. Burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bonnie's name. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Country House, Unity Hospice, family and friends.
