Bonnie Magiary BARKE

Mrs. Walter (Bonnie) Barke, 77, Oconto resident died Wednesday morning, January 19, 2000 at home. The former Bonnie Jane Magiary was born January 2, 1923 at Oconto, the daughter of the late Rueben and Evelyn (Beauleau) Magiary. On August 29, 1941, Bonnie married Walter "Mox" Barke at Green Bay. The couple resided in Green Bay until 1947 at which time they moved to the Oconto area. Her husband, Mox, preceded her in death on December 19, 1997.

Surviving are her children, Robert Magiary; Connie (Vernon) Warrichaiet, Rueben Barke, Mike (Vickie) Barke, Sue (Jim) Schroeder, Ralph Barke, Debbie Destache, and Georgia Barke, all of Oconto; Rudy (Sherry) Barke, Tucson; David (Cindy) Barke, Pensaukee; Kenny Barke, Milwaukee; Luann (Jim) Denowski, Lena; 32 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 7 great greatgrandchildren. Bonnie is further survived by a brother Curtis, two sisters, Patricia and Margaret, and by nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Besides her husband and parents, she was further preceded in death by two brothers, George and Rueben, Jr., and by a sister, Lois. The family received relatives and friends at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago Street, Oconto from 9 until 11 AM Saturday, January 22, 2000. Service of Christian Burial 11 AM The Rev. Fr. David Ruby officiated.
