She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Oconto, Wis., to Desire and Zora (nee Couillard) Laduron. She spent her early life in Brookside and graduated from Bellin School of Nursing in Green Bay. Laddie was a nurse and homemaker. She was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in Burlington, on the Church Council and Decorating Committee. Over the years she was involved with the Burlington Women’s Club, the Burlington Arts Council, the Republican Women’s Club, the Election Board, chairman of the Election Polls for Districts 1 and 2 for 19 years, the Chocolate Fest Board and the Burlington Garden Club. She was an originator of the Art In The Garden event. She was also involved in many other community activities and organizations. Survivors include daughters, Lisa Barthels, La Grange Park, Ill.; Julie Barthels, Beloit; and Amy Levandoski, Racine; grandchildren, Amber, Brianna and Haleigh; and sister-in-law, Betty Tikalsky, Waukesha.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Grant Quever officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, June 1, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and also on Wednesday, June 2, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at a later date at So. WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Memorials have been suggested to Bellin School of Nursing, to the Leukemia Society or to Hospice Alliance. She was the last of her generation that we are aware of in the family. Which makes me third oldest, at least in the immediate family. My age is showing.
