Benedict "Ben Kozy" KOZICZKOWSKI

Benedict J. Koziczkowski "Ben Kozy", 86, of Neenah, died peacefully, Sunday December 26, 1999, at the home of his son, Jim, following a lingering illness.

He was born July 1, 1913 in Town of New Hope, Portage County, son of Frank and Theodora (Wroblewski) Koziczkowski. Ben married Theresa Siginan in 1935. He was employed at Neenah Paper Company for many years before his retirement. He then moved to Townsend, WI where he enjoyed fishing, playing cards and meeting with people. Ben was an avid Packer fan.

He is survived by his former wife, Theresa Koziczkowski, Neenah; two daughters and one son-in-law, Rose (Bob) Verdon, Fullerton, CA; Shirley Ebben, Menasha; four sons and three daughters-in-law, John (Mary) Manning, S.C.; Stanley (Barb), Ellisinore, MO; James (Kathy), Neenah; Tom, Town of Clayton; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Koziczkowski, Stevens Point; one sister, Sophie Sigman, Stevens Point. Mr. Koziczkowski was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert; three grandchildren: Shawn, Kim Marie and Jenny; a son-in-law, Daniel Ebben and a brother, Joseph Kozy.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 1999, at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 666 Division Street, Neenah with Rev. Michael Koch officiating. Interment in Saint Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Friends called at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
