Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church on Monday afternoon for Mrs. James Flowers, 64, with the O'Neill funeral home in charge of arrangements. The Rev. W.H. Wiese of Clintonville officiated at the rites, with Mrs. Benson Schaub as soloist and Mrs. Blaine Peterson presiding at the organ. The casket was borne to its resting place in Woodlawn cemetery by Messrs. Paul Peterson, E. E. Magnin, E. O. Sankey, Paul Peterson, George Anderson, Albert Gillis and A. J. Luth.

Bertha Fahrman was born in Menominee, October 15, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Fahrman. They moved to Oconto Falls when Mrs. Flowers was a little girl, and with the exception of a few years in Clintonville, this has always been her home.

Mrs. Flowers is survived by her husband, three sons, Gaylord, Oconto Falls, Sherburn J. of St. Paul, and Heardman of Chicago, two daughters, Ruth, Mrs. Wendell Snyder of Milwaukee, and Miss Enid of Madison, six grandchildren, and her father, who is 88 years of age.

About three and one half years ago, Mrs. Flowers suffered a stroke of paralysis and although everything possible was done, she failed to make a complete recovery. Despondency over this fact led her to take her life Thursday morning, the body being discovered by her brother-in-law Spofford Flowers about the middle of the forenoon.

The remains lay in state at the O'Neill funeral home until noon Monday when they were removed to the church. The Flowers attended the Methodist church in Clintonville, and Rev. Wiese was their pastor during that time.
