RUTH BELAIRE OBITUARY

Ruth C. Belaire, 93, Green Bay, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at a local hospital with her family by her side. She was born April 19, 1919, in Little River, to Grant David and Ida (Nor) McDowell. Ruth graduated from Oconto High School in 1936. She moved to Green Bay in 1937, and later went to beauty school. On Oct. 18, 1940, Ruth married George Belaire and they had been married for 71 years. Ruth was an avid Packers fan. She was a wonderful woman and had a great sense of humor. Ruth loved spending time with her family, and was devoted to her religion.

Survivors include her husband, George; her children, Thomas (Ruth) Belaire, Mary (Thomas) Brisson, John (Angela) Belaire, Janet Moore (special friend, James Kissel); many relatives and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Hermsen; her brothers, Jim McDowell, Pete McDowell; a sister, Clarice Cox; and a son-in-law, Donald Moore.

Friends may call in the chapel at Fort Howard Memorial Park, 1350 N. Military Ave., from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel with the Rev.
