Bailey, Audrey J.
Audrey J. Bailey went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January
23, 2013. She was born on June 1, 1934 in Oconto Falls, WI to Sophie and
Alhart Nemecek. On May 31, 1952, Audrey married Malcolm David Bailey Jr. in
Hickory, WI. They spent most of their lives in Oconto, WI. Along with
raising her five children, she spent many years employed by the Oconto
Unified School District in food services. Later she worked at local glove
factories as a seamstress. She loved camping, working in her garden and
sewing. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and just
enjoyed life. Audrey was very involved with her churches, Hickory Church of
Christ and Oconto Gospel Church.
Survivors include her five children, Allen (Tammy) Bailey; Dennis (Sandy)
Bailey; Kathy (Mike) Tappa; Cal (Marcy) Bailey; LuAnn (Chad) Renel; nine
grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, James (Carol) Nemecek;
sister, Arleen Heisel; many nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by the love of her life, Malcolm Bailey in
1990; her parents and an infant brother.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Life Bridge
Christian Church, 2496 Glendale Ave., Howard. Visitation at 10:00 a.m.
Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
