Betty F. ROCKABRAND, 77, of 425 Pecor St., Oconto, died Wednesday June 23, 1999 at Bay Shore Pines, Oconto.
Betty was born February 20, 1922 in Oconto to the late Joseph and Ruth (COURTOIS) DODDS. She married Jack O. ROCKABRAND on May 10, 1947. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1972. Betty loved playing cards with her friends, reading, listening to music, playing word and trivia games.
Survivors include two daughters Janis (Jim WOLFE) ROCKABRAND of Cresco, Iowa, and Laurie (Bruce BEVERSDORF) ROCKABRAND of Wittenberg; one son, Mark ROCKABRAND of Green Bay; two brothers, Joseph DODDS of Oconto, and William (Joy) PORTERFIELD of Bull Shoals, AR; one sister, Ruth KIERNAN of Waukesha; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Elizabeth WOLFE and Aaron and Carrie BEVERSDORF.
Visitation was held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at the United Methodist Church, Oconto. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Frederik Schulz officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, assisted the family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial to the Arthritis Foundation has been established.
