Allan W. Ehlers, 83, of 422 Pecor St., Oconto, died Wednesday morning, February 10, 1988 at St. Mary's, Hospital, Green Bay.

He was born May 11, 1904, in Gillett. He married the former Madge Wheeler April 28, 1936. He was employed at the Gillett Bank for two years and served as Oconto County deputy treasurer. In 1938, he became the Oconto County treasurer, retiring in 1970. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Elks Club and the Masonic Lodge, where he was secretary and treasurer.

He is survived by three daughters, Beverly Angelich and Harriet Lui-sier, both of Oconto and Debbie Ehlers of De Pere; a son, William Ehlers of Townsend; a brother, Karl Ehlers of Gillett; five sisters, Evelyn Gilbertson of Menasha, Louise Doughty of Shawano, Ester Gardner of Milwaukee, Sylvera Zenk of Pul-cifer and Dorothy Jean Milhans of Rapid City, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

His wife, two sisters, Anna Mae Mellison and Marion Newman, and two brothers, William Ehlers II and Raymond Schmidt, died previously.

Friends called at Gallagher-Pinkart Funeral Home Friday. An Odd Fellows service was held followed by a Masonic service. Final rites were held Saturday at the First American Lutheran Church The Rev. C.W. Fitch officiated. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
